I got a hold of some creme eggs that had been frozen for a while, and I have to tell you the quality has gone considerably down. It's like eating a completely different product. The filling has gotten thicker and become more of a "wet sugar" than any kind of creme, and the chocolate is much harder and waxier now than it used to be. On top of this the eggs are now smaller. Overall it's just a crappy product. I'm told that they still make them right in Europe, Hershey makes them for Cadbury here so maybe I'll order a box from overseas next year.

Pixie sticks are good, except I'm terrible at getting them open. Either they are the paper ones, and I rip it in the wrong spot, or I get it a little wet and the sugar stops coming out. And don't get me started on the cheap plastic containers (not sure if those are Pixie sticks or a knock off) but unless scissors are on hand, I can't even get the thing open to get to the sugar. Waste of candy.

I still LOVE me some Cadbury Cream Eggs! What is wrong with all of you?!?
@ Barkawi: I've never had a carmel one, though I might have to try one now.
@ Salena: I agree with your list.
When I was younger, I hated Whoppers. There, I said it. Yes, I was not a fan of the Whopper. I am talking about the chocolately malt balls, not the BK signature sandwich. But alas, I have come to my senses. THEY ARE SO YUMMY!

I can't tell how much I've thought about this myself over the last few months. I know I've read it somewhere, but tastebuds DO change over time. So it is natural that some things don't taste as good as they used to. I cannot stand anything too sweet anymore, including most birthday cakes. And those Cadbury eggs are absolutely atrocious now. Though, the caramel ones are actually still pretty good, but only enough to remain edible.

@Salena
I completely agree with you on all of those. Fishsticks make me sick to my stomach now. Especially a soggy fishstick. No amount of tartar sauce in the world can save a soggy fishstick.

Although I'm sure there are some adults out there that still do like the taste of Cadbury Eggs, I have to take your side of the issue. I "treated" myself to one a few years ago and found them absolutely revolting! I think you reach a certain age when "straight sugar" just becomes downright gross. You do have to admit though, the yellow yolk is pretty cool! ;-)

I’ve never had a Cadbury Egg, but I will tell you what I find absolutely revolting as an adult: Peeps. Prior to two months ago, I had not had a Peep in roughly 10 years, and when I took a bite of the tiny, pastel, processed bastard, I wanted to spit its spongey, sugary, nasty head right out. UGH. Disgusting.

Also on the Revolting Adult list: candy corn, fishsticks, and those orange candy things in the shape of peanuts.
